Time: Friday, 11:00 AM - 12:25 PM

Instructor: Sophie

Location: St. Michael’s Episcopal Church

Class Size: The class will be strictly capped at 10 students.

Description: This course is appropriate for students with no previous drawing experience as well as those with some experience. The class will focus on form rather than color—students will learn how to accurately convey the forms of various objects with charcoal and graphite. Students will learn how to convey dimensionality through various techniques. Various exercises will be assigned to complete outside of class.

Other Fees: Please remember to pay the Family Registration Fee (only one fee per family) and any applicable study hall fees. This class does not have a materials fee. Instead, students will be responsible for bringing their own materials to class, and may be given assignments to complete outside of class.

Materials: By the first day of class, students must have…

  • a newsprint pad (18” x 24”),

  • a drawing pad (18” x 24”) (NOT toned paper),
